Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

We currently use it as a host database for shared content within multiple departments to handle large files.

Pros

  • Allows access via app or browser
  • Allows easy navigation using standard file tree system
  • Ability to share secure links

Cons

  • Mac and PC cross platform compatibility has occasional issues I've found.
  • File explorer doesn't always see files you can see by navigation with a browser in my experience.
  • I don't participate financially for the right of use so I don't have any useful data to offer.
I don't know this for a fact, but it would seem that security may be greater, (different for sure) than a zipped file due to the multiple abilities to limit access compared to WinZip

Yes

Dropbox is fantastic for sharing large files like videos and images that are high res or HD. Many work files contain images for marketing that are often too large to send via email and Dropbox is a great solution.
