Great Product
Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox
We use Dropbox to store all of our working files and photos. It is helpful to have our individual folders to store all of the items that are a work in progress, and to store everything that has been finalized in the shared folders. It is so easy to share a link to certain folders to share with the team or outside partners, especially since we have to share a lot of large files that can't be sent over email.
Pros
- Using an Apple phone, but not having a Mac computer and having to use a PC, it is often difficult to transfer all the photos without Dropbox from my phone to the projects on my computer. The Dropbox app on my phone has made it so much easier to quickly upload and sort things off of my phone, also helps with clearing the small amount of storage my work phone allows.
- Dropbox makes sorting files super easy. It is easy to upload, create, drag, reorder, rename, etc.
- When sharing links, it is nice that not everyone accessing the links is required to have a Dropbox account, which means sharing is not limited.
Cons
- I wish Dropbox didn't have to be accessed through the web on a PC computer. My coworkers who have a Mac can access the folders in a much easier and more efficient fashion.
- When hosting many photographers who are taking photos and sending us large files, Dropbox has given us a positive ROI by making it easy to share and save the files being given to us in a more efficient way.
Dropbox makes it easier to share everything by being able to provide a link and it doesn't expire. When using WeTransfer, the emails sometimes get lost in the shuffle of all other emails coming in and you only have a certain amount of time to access the link so if you don't download the contents of it immediately, you have to regain access.
