Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox
In our small consultant firm, we work remotely. Dropbox works absolutely fine across computers and platforms, so we use it as a business solution and it gives access in a secure way to the data. We have very high standards for dealing with our client's data, and you provide all the support that we need (white papers). When we need to recover an old file, it can be done in a matter of minutes. In the few times that a specific requirement was needed, Dropbox gave us a prompt response, by telephone. An absolutely incredible service.
Pros
- Telephone assistance
- File versions- it allows us to recover deleted or changed files
- It works fine on multiple platforms (computers and operational systems) and is not Windows-centered
- White papers- it describes in full detail, the way you manage the data, the protocols that you follow
Cons
- It would be great if you could offer differential rates for companies located outside the US. The dollar is VERY expensive!
- When we need to share files, a link is created and we have a small conversation with the third party (i.e. provider or Client) that it expires, it communicates the sense that the data is important and we treat it with respect and diligence.
- We like to do computing our own way (i.e. coding and using independent software) and Dropbox is flexible enough, in order to not stop the way we want to do things in our company.
- I would like to move away from Windows, and Dropbox is an ally in this endeavor.
- Being a small company, it is very important to have flexible, but powerful tools and Dropbox is one of them.
I do not use alternative Dropbox solutions. I know DocuSign, but when needed, it was provided by the Client.
