Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

We use Dropbox to manage our photo assets, especially media galleries that we send out to publications and journalists. We also use it for sharing files that are larger that don’t necessarily work in Google Drive or something that we need to readily access, especially externally, in our company versus sharing through our internal company server. I will also use it to send campaign assets to our various partners, whether that might be something that our website team needs or our digital ad agencies.
  • Link sharing
  • Easy asset management & organization
  • Cloud-based storage
  • User settings for the admin console can be tricky to navigate
  • Would love to see AI suggestions for organization or tagging
  • Saves time in sharing assets
  • Saves time in searching & collecting photo assets
  • Reliable & dependable for others
Dropbox is more robust platform. It allows you to really not be limited by file restrictions. That is an issue we run into that quite frequently with Google Drive, and with Dropbox, it’s more user-friendly. Sometimes the file sharing settings on Google Drive don’t work as expected, and they don’t save. With Dropbox, we haven’t encountered those issues, so it’s been a huge plus and a main reason we continue to use it.

Do you think Dropbox delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Dropbox's feature set?

Yes

Did Dropbox live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Dropbox go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Dropbox again?

Yes

Dropbox is great for sharing internally and externally. I can’t really think of a situation where it wouldn’t be appropriate, but it’s great, especially for larger files or larger projects. It’s convenient to have some things readily available that people can easily access without being within your organization’s account or having to make their own account, so they can just access it on their own very readily. The various file sizes and media types it supports are also a huge plus.
