Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

Every day I am in and out of Dropbox uploading and downloading files as well as working directly out of Dropbox. Most of the files types I work in are .eps, .psd, .indd and pptx. File sizes vary but I'm mostly working out of files that are 100mb or larger.

Pros

  • speed
  • realiability
  • easy to navigate

Cons

  • preview of some file types
  • syncing could be easier
  • syncing interface is hard to navigate because the folder names are cut off
  • more users on the platform
  • less loosing work, never had a crash
  • easy to comment and file share
  • Box
Dropbox is leaps and bounds better than Box. At my previous company, we exclusively used Box and we would deal with versionitis, loosing files and loosing work. It was frustrating to the point where I would download files to my laptop locally which was a no-no. With Dropbox, I can open huge files (500mb+) and they sync seamlessly. I'm so happy!

Do you think Dropbox delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Dropbox's feature set?

Yes

Did Dropbox live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Dropbox go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Dropbox again?

Yes

At my prior company, I was on a different system that constantly crashed and we had less users. I'm surprised how well Dropbox handles thousands of users at my current company and it has never (knock on wood) crashed on me. It's the most reliable for dealing with large images.
