Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox
We use Dropbox in order to save files and share documents across the organization. We do our best to organize our files so they are easily accessible and identifiable. We use Dropbox in addition to other cloud storage services, but Dropbox is used to store data we definitely need to refer back to in the future.
Pros
- Dropbox makes it easy to upload and move documents across folders
- Dropbox makes it easy to share information across teams
- Dropbox makes it easy to manage permissions across documents
- Dropbox is a simple to use platform with a welcoming user interface
Cons
- Dropbox could benefit from an easily accessible search function
- Dropbox previews are occasionally hard to load
- Dropbox occassionally thinks I want to make edits to documents, when I only want to preview them
- Dropbox makes it easy for our organization to save files for later
- Dropbox has helped us stay organized and be intentional about data creation
- Dropbox can help you manage large quantities of data
I personally prefer Google Drive for document creation, file editing, and sharing
