Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox
We like the control that Dropbox gives us and use it for our internal document storage for our home office personnel. The backup and retention capabilities are great in case someone mistakenly deletes items and for a peace of mind regarding the online storage, in addition to local storage if needed.
Pros
- Easy access of various devices.
- Local and/or online storage of files.
- Ability to control access to groups.
Cons
- For certain use cases, auto removal of items older than a certain date.
- Assigning uses could be improved.
- Allow certain users to pre existing folders.
- Increased security of document/file access.
- Are managing two platforms, OneDrive and Dropbox.
- People are familiar with it, with many having personal Dropbox.
We like to keep internal and externally shared documents separate, so we use Dropbox to handle our internal files.
