Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

I use Dropbox to organize project by project a wide array of accounting documents, project files, contracts and legal documents, and anything pertaining to that project I store all in a series of nested folders within Dropbox. What's important about the cloud aspect is I work with an internal team at our company as well as a freelance team brought on for each job (often different from the last) who all need to be able to access and collaborate on the files in our project folder.

Pros

  • Quickly syncs edited files
  • Has a well optimized interface for desktop use
  • Makes it easy to choose which files are stored on a computer (taking up drive space) and which are only available online

Cons

  • Sometimes Dropbox menu options dissappear / go out of sync, making it hard to access online only files
  • The online / in browser interface could be more optimized
  • Adding web links into Dropbox should be more optimized
  • If only I had better access to a google suite like drive offers! That's the only big thing missing here
  • Created a streamlined organizational platform for job organization
  • Allowed for easy access of old job files when things come up down the line (and they ALWAYS do)
  • Allowed team members to collaborate quickly and without an arduous learning/onboarding process
Box is slow to sync. Also not as helpful of an interface.

Google Drive was always my go-to before this, and I still use it actively but now only for the storage of my g-suite documents - these are important still to me and have to live in Google Drive which is the only downside of working out of Dropbox for me. But otherwise Dropbox has it beat in terms of ease of use and organization

Do you think Dropbox delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Dropbox's feature set?

Yes

Did Dropbox live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Dropbox go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Dropbox again?

Yes

Dropbox is simply the best cloud service I've used in-desktop, it's quick and responsive for document and folder sync and feels native and not like a cheap plugin. The only thing I think I'm really missing is a better access to google suite documents like Google Drive offers. But otherwise, things are easily made online/offline and are great to collaborate with other team members with
