Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox
Dropbox has served our not-for-profit organization for many years and been a fantastic 'cloud' resource from the start! Serving K-12 Education and having more than 500 public schools scattered across 28 states as clients, our file storage and multiple site access requirements were impossible to manage ... that is ... until we discovered Dropbox! If you need file storage, remote access, ease of management and consistent 'impeccable' service as we have, Dropbox is it! I've tried other big name providers both for business and personal use and Dropbox is still my 1st choice. Awesome company, Awesome product, Awesome service, and my highest recommendation!
Pros
- File storage and management
- Local integration and remote access
- No downtime, always there when needed
- Reasonable costs
Cons
- The problem: not being able to schedule or restrict the time(s) when my computer, running Dropbox, communicates with Dropbox. Normally, this would not be a problem. However in my personal use case, as a trader placing automated market orders while Dropbox is active, the active connection appears to disrupt the critical automated programs and processes I am running on the connected computer.
- - I would be grateful and delighted to have the ability to schedule times when Dropbox "is" and "is not" active.
- The greatest ROI has been the added cloud storage.
- Shared file access
- Ability to apply restricted access
- Google Cloud Storage, Box and Apple iCloud
I appreciate the fact that Dropbox is a singular product, and not part of a bundle. This allows greater focus on building a product that is simple and easy to use that is focused on the customer.
