Great for media
Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox
I store important video and text media for sharing with clients and partners, and to back up my hard drive automatically. This addresses the problems of transferring large files over email and text. Also, I grant access to a folder and can continually update the files in that folder without having to send follow-up emails.
Pros
- Link generation
- organization in my hard drive, mirrored in the cloud
- reliable synchronization
Cons
- The synching is only one file at a time.
- When I export video files from Adobe Premiere, it creates a redundant file with "conflict" in the name, not sure what this is
- Sometimes Dropbox just doesn't synch the files I need to
- Dropbox doesn't connect in some cases when I'm on remote wifis
- It doesn't add to my bottom line, per se, but it makes it easy to send files to clients
- It's a reliable platform that I can count on
- It automatically synchs files in my laptop, without my having to worry about it.
