Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

I work as an illustrator and use Dropbox to share and organize files when delivering them to clients. It's fast and effective for sharing and updating. Before I had Dropbox, delivering the large format files I use was a large hassle. On my end I also use it as an essential backup to my hard drives and files. Without that, I would be in constant fear that something would happen to my work.

Pros

  • Backing up my data using the desktop extension.
  • Updating quickly when I need to share files to clients or from other devices.
  • Allow me to stay organized.

Cons

  • I wish I could interrupt it's backup process more easily, especially when I start to backup 30Gb files accidentally.
  • I wish it didn't pull files from my computer when I dragged them to the Dropbox folder, but I know this is a Windows issue.
  • It's made my life easier.
It's easy and intuitive to setup and use similar to Windows or Mac file systems.
I didn't like using WeTransfer. I don't know how it is now, but it didn't meet my needs when sharing and updating multiple files at once.

When working with a client I can send them large format files of my work and they can request updates. I can then make those updates and save them right to the Dropbox file.
