Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

Multiple teams use Dropbox for file repositories and sharing across organizations/companies. Mainly used by creative teams working with photographers, and clients.

Pros

  • Search function is unmatched
  • Much more visual than google drive
  • Left panel makes finding and sorting through files easy

Cons

  • The plan structures could be more accessible to allow external people who don't use Dropbox to access your files without having to pay.
  • would love to get notifications automatically when folders are changes
  • We are able to turn creative around faster which results in lower overhead
Ease of searching, uploading, and dowloading. Room for improvement on sharing externally to non-Dropbox users.
We still use both, but we use Dropbox more for media files (photos, videos, photoshop files etc.) due to it's enhanced searching, organization and visual layout.
