Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox Business

We use Dropbox Business for all our document cloud storage. We have folders for every client and project and have organized it in ways that allow all our team members to access files in a structured way. We also use it to store frequently used documents like marketing assets, logos, letterhead, or stationary.
  • Syncs accross mobile, desktop and web browser in real-time.
  • Works with PC and Apple operating systems.
  • Allows for admin recovery of deleted files.
  • Sometimes the user experience for PC vs. Apple users can be different (PC doesn't support certain symbols or file name length)
  • If a user uses the desktop app and unselects folders, they can have a hard time finding them later.
  • Would like an easier way to limit folders to 'read-only' if necessary
  • Gives a sense of security to have all files in one place and easy to access
  • Can be hard when all users do not use it... some employees keep folders on their desktops... always working to do training and re-education
  • While it's easy to use, if someone does not download the app or use it regularly it can be frustrating
Very similar all in all. DropBox was the most familiar to our team and seamless. Will continue to do research as we grow as a business to make sure this is the right fit.
For a small, remote team like ours that is often on the road, Dropbox is great because it can be accessed by anyone anywhere. The mobile app is really nice and handy in client meetings to pull up documents.
