Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox Business
I can only speak for our department, but it is being used by our 20 employees as a means of uploading documents, sharing content and collaborating on feedback. It enables us to centrally locate our documents and files and have anyone, anywhere, within our department view those files. It increases our productivity and is incredibly convenient. Enables us to be productive remotely.
Pros
- Easy access to files, as well as, simple sharing either via shared folders or links.
- Extremely user-friendly. Easy to establish an account and start saving files. Love the compatibility with Microsoft applications.
- Smart Sync is an innovative way to manage thousands of files easily on any device.
Cons
- I am not a big fan of attempting to switch users to paid plans. Their initiatives to do that are very intrusive.
- You have to manage the upload speed so it doesn't burn out the modem.
- Occasionally, there are technical glitches that need to be addressed.
- It has improved productivity by at least 10% since we have incorporated this tool.
- It has increased the number of hours worked remotely by our employees by 22%.
- It has reduced storage costs by 35%
Dropbox Business for me worked much better and was a better choice for our organization. Not everyone uses android or has a gmail account, so Dropbox Business provided more flexibility in that regard, and is easier to use for us.
