Overall Satisfaction with Dynamic Yield

At Moss Bros. we use Dynamic Yield within our Ecommerce team as our sole A/B testing tool - for both execution and analysis. It's an agile system that allows us to make quick, on-the-fly changes to HTML and CSS, and also much more complex tests within our sites code, and ultimately assits us to remove opinions from decicions and focus on the data.
  • A/B testing.
  • Site personalisation.
  • Audience segmentation.
  • Quick, visual edits like changing images don't work very well and sometimes need coding - which defeats the purpose.
  • Ease of selecting div's is clunky.
  • Easier capability of amending out-the-box widgets.
  • Creating experiences across mobile & desktop simultaneously would be good.
  • Increased conversion across devices.
  • Increased average order value.
  • Increased units per transaction.
We moved from Qubit to Dynamic Yield for a number of reasons. Qubit was very clunky, had limited out-the-box capabilities and thus required a wait for coders to build tests or make small site changes. The features they intended to be quick and easy to use were invariably not, and required a lot of support, which was both frustrating for us and them. The support we received therefore was not very good, and it was hard to be self-sufficient with the tool. Dynamic Yield blows all of these frustrations out of the water and is a far better all-round experience.
We are kept up-to-date on new features, and provided with ideas on elements to improve and how to meet our business objectives. Dynamic Yield have also been excellent in assisting with our CRO agency; training them and assisting in any queries they have in order to build and analyse our tests.
Generally the tool is very good, but there have been a number of occasions when trying to do some basic edits that we've struggled and had to revert to our coders. Things like amending an image in our navigation, or changing the colour in our navigation - sometimes the div you need to select is not possible to select - and it can add frustration when the change seems so simple. The 10,000 character limit on HTML edits also means we can't use this as a route for some simple changes.
However there are a lot of very good things in DY that are very simple to use indeed, and consequently we are much more self-sufficient than we've ever been.

Do you think Dynamic Yield delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Dynamic Yield's feature set?

Yes

Did Dynamic Yield live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Dynamic Yield go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Dynamic Yield again?

Yes

Dynamic Yield fits in perfectly for us with our suite of tools and our testing agency. We primarily use it for A/B testing a smaller site visual edits (for which it is very useful indeed - as it prevents us needing to go to coders for some tweaks). The area that we need to expand into more is personalisation, and how we can use our marketing segmentation more seamlessly within Dynamic Yield - rather than having to create separate pools of people.
