Overall Satisfaction with Dynatrace
Dynatrace is available throughout the organization, but is deployed based on infrastructure of the departments and applications which would like to on-board. We use it for Application Performance Monitoring and User session tracking in addition to standard infrastructure monitoring and alerting.

- Real User Session Monitoring
- Some automation friendly features currently missing
- More granular user permissions
- Helped debug otherwise unknown and hard to diagnose mobile app issue saving a lot of time and money
- Quickly notified operations team of a downed server reducing MTTR
Datadog is a little harder to use from an end user standpoint but is probably a little more flexible from a script/automation perspective; it has more granular permissions but default access is not ideal for our usage. Sensu doesn't do application performance monitoring. Dynatrace is simply a more complete package.
