Overall Satisfaction with Evernote

Evernote has not been deployed across our organization. However, many of our employees use it and I personally use it for work and personal use. Originally I thought of it as just another note taking application. I didn't realize the value until I started entering everything I do into the product. It is an all in one solution. Notes, document repository, the ability to create picture and voice notes, add attachments, and many other things. With the use of the Evernote mobile applications I have all of my notes and documentation with me wherever I go. I couldn't live without this product now. I've gone completely paperless.

Pros

  • The integration with their mobile application.
  • Other applications and add-ons that are free help make Evernote even more useful. Such as the Evernote Web Clipper, to copy webpages directly into Evernote as a note; The Penultimate application that is a notebook for tablets, I don't have to carry around or keep track of a pen and paper anymore. Their Evernote Food application is great for organizing recipes.
  • For business, I can keep notes on current projects and keep all of the documentation in one central note. Including attachments, files that I have to create for a project.

Cons

  • It would be nice to be able to create tables in the mobile client.
  • This has helped the productivity of our employees that have chosen to use Evernote. They have one repository for everything they work on. It reduces the need to have to dig around for files and notes. Just a quick search will pull up exactly what you need.
  • Evernote has definitely positively impacted our ROI.
  • Evernote has led to better customer service in some of the departments that have decided to use it.
Evernote blows the competition away. It is not just a note taking application. It is a full blown repository for anything you can think of to put in there. There is no comparison with any other product.
It just works. It has become my everything repository. I can search for anything at a moments notice and produce answers very quickly.
I've recommended this to several colleagues. Like me, they have come to use it as a go to anytime they need to store anything. It could be meeting notes, project lists, anything you'd write on a post-it note, pictures, documents, anything you can thing of really. The only required resources are having the client installed on your computer and mobile devices.
