Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Evernote is used within our organization as an alternative to OneNote, all of our staff uses the program. Evernote is used to share "good ideas", links, and articles etc across our staff. We have mixed opinions internally if we should standardize the use of this program or finds another solution, as there is no additional cost to use OneNote as we use O365.

Alternatives Considered

Microsoft Office 2016

Evernote is a superior product if you are a Mac user (due to the program working on an iPad and/or iPhone), however, if you are using Office 365, OneNote is included at no additional monthly cost. Since most companies have moved to O365 you have a better chance of being able to share info with more users.

I believe that Evernote is best suited for Mac users or for companies that don't have a server. The installation is very straightforward and does not require someone with a lot of computer experience. As long as you have an Internet connection the program is very easy to use. This program is one of the few decent ones that also run on an iPhone.
