Overall Satisfaction with Evernote
Evernote is used by the Engineering Department along with our Rocketbooks. We take notes in our reusable Rocketbooks, then scan and upload to Evernote where we can organize the notes and share with other members in the department who were not able to attend a meeting. We also use it to collaborate on projects within the department.
Pros
- Ability to share meeting notes with others (like that it works well with Rocketbook).
- The To-Do list helps with organization and project deadlines.
- Able to sync to multiple devices so you can use it in the office or in the field.
Cons
- Sometimes Evernote has trouble sending larger files.
- Sometimes camera function takes a while to focus.
- The search option, being able to search text as wells as handwritten notes (Field notes).
- Syncing to multiple devices to be used in the office or in the field.
- Allowed us to be more efficient when transferring notes from field to reports.
- Allowed more workers to have the option to work remote or partly remote (even before COVID).
Evernote is more user friendly and flows better during collaboration events as long as everyone in your team is using it. Organization of files, reports, photos and even video files has been helpful with Evernote and the program makes it easy to send those files to coworkers. It's a little easier to use than Dropbox Business or Google Drive and has more options for collaboration.
