So you want to use Facebook Pages Manager? An inside look.
Overall Satisfaction with Facebook Pages Manager
I use Facebook Pages Manager to monitor and post content for our department. I also use it to manage my personal business. This app helps me monitor our page analytics as well as create content on the fly. It is easy to use and provides an avenue to answer direct messages, schedule posts, and provides statistics on our followers.
Pros
- Easily design and edit pages.
- Custom templates are available for a wide variety of businesses and organizations.
- Provides great options to boost posts or create custom ads.
Cons
- It is not as intuitive as Facebook.
- It is "clunky" when trying to get the correct settings as an administrator.
- The post attribution automatically defaults to the page instead of the administrator.
- Glitches happen frequently when using trying to update profile or cover photo.
30 - Most of the people are representing different areas of a university, such as student affairs, recruitment, academic departments, and human resources. The primary goal is to push content targeted at potential new students, current students, transfers, employees, and alumni. It is also used to connect with potential donors. In addition, it is used to capture moments from live events.
- The use of Facebook Pages Manager has helped gain new followers through the use of their analytics.
- This tool could be more robust with some of the content creation tools.
- Being able to access other platforms through Facebook Pages Manager would be extremely useful and time-saving.
I have used Hootsuite to monitor my business profiles on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. There is a content stream from all of your platforms in one screen. Content is easily created through this software and it saves so much time flipping between platforms when posting the same message. Facebook Pages Manager cannot compare, even with the free version of Hootsuite.
