Overall Satisfaction with Google Ads (formerly AdWords)

We use Google Ads to drive more traffic to our website. Our marketing department mainly uses Google ads but the analytics team uses it for reference. It addresses our problem of growing our user-base and increasing traffic to the website.
  • Google Ads does SEO very well.
  • The user interface is pretty simple and easy to figure out
  • Has great reach.
  • Can be pretty expensive for smaller firms
  • Dashboard views sometimes have issues
  • We had some issues with customer service
  • Easy to use
  • Keyword tools
  • Dashboard view
  • Increased traffic to website
  • More insight into target audience
Facebook can be less expensive but everyone uses Google, so you have to run ads on Google. Other search engines also have similar features. The traffic on Google is significantly higher than its competition. Facebook ads can be an alternative but it doesn't quite work like a search engine marketing tool.

Do you think Google Ads delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Google Ads's feature set?

Yes

Did Google Ads live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of Google Ads go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Google Ads again?

Yes

It is very well suited towards B2C products where the target audiences are already expressing a good amount of interest in a specific product. However, it seems to be less effective for increasing the visibility of a new or lesser known companies. Also since, it could be pretty expensive for companies with lower budget that have to compete with large corporations.

Using Google Ads (formerly AdWords)

3 - Three people in my organization use Google Ads. Two of them are in the marketing department and use Google Ads for running ad campaigns for our products. One of them is in the analytics department and uses the data generated from running the ads to optimize future ad campaigns.
1 - You will need someone who is knowledgeable about marketing to support Google Ads. They will also need to be comfortable with technology and is able to learn and adapt to new technology quickly.
  • Marketing campaigns
  • Ad optimization
  • Marketing analytics
I think Google Ads is good for getting your company out there and becoming more visible to potential customers in general. However, for specific product launches, social media advertising might be a better fit. Also, our user base is younger so social media is a better channel for our target audience.
