Overall Satisfaction with Google Drive

Currently I use Google Drive for my home business. Primarily I use it for managing files that I need to be able to access from anywhere. I don't always have a USB file and sometimes the drive has failed from just being taken around. Google Drive has saved me from that.

  • I use this for my home business so I've been able to use it to share files to clients as well as quick access to those files from my phone or tablet.
Drive stays out of my way and I usually don't notice it running. To me, this is the benchmark I'm most concerned with, it's file storage, it shouldn't be something I really perceve in my workflow.
Dropbox is way too expensive for what it is and I have had sync issues with it before. OneDrive is pushed too hard by Microsoft and I don't like feeling like I'm "forced" to use a product and I've also had sync issues. SugarSync I used sometime back and I just didn't like the overall experience as much as I do Google Drive.

I have found myself using Drive for backups, on-the-fly document generation, temporary archival, middleman for file transfer between cloud storages. I have even used it for shared wallpapers between devices and voice memos.

For the price, it is very competative and has saved me several times. I've been very happy with the product.
