Overall Satisfaction with Google Workspace

We use Google Workspace for a number of things across our entire organization. We use it for email and domain control, file storage and sharing internally as well as publicly with clients and partners, and as our primary productivity suite (replaced Microsoft) and collaboration tool. Collaborating across our company has been the biggest use case for us as we are all spread out both in the US and internationally.

Cons

  • In some cases it's too many steps to get simple tasks completed
  • The sharing UI could be improved upon
  • Make sure to maintain your users. Since Workspace bills based on the number of users, it's important to maintain users as people come and go from your organization. We had some users that were costing us ~$22/month that hadn't been with the company in a while.
  • At the ~$22/month per user price point it's hard to find other systems that cost less and that give you as many tools as Google Workspace.
  • They continuously make their tools better and add new and useful tools that help our company collaborate more efficiently and effectively.
Google has really thought out how users interact with their UI and it shows. From a management perspective there are A LOT of options to customize your organizations needs. Everything is fairly easy to work with and although at times it can seem overwhelming with the amount of options, I believe those options are important for ensuring we can do more with the tools Google offers.
Google Workspace offers many more collaboration tools then the Microsoft products. Although the Microsoft products are familiar to so many people, picking up The Google suite of tools is easy. Google also allows us to truly be in the cloud and work from any device from anywhere. We don't need any downloaded apps and can access it anytime unlike Microsoft which I feel is much more clunky. It's also very easy to use across different operating systems (Mac, PC, and even Chromebooks) and maintain the same versions unlike Microsoft where they have different versions of their products for different OS's. This makes it easier to roll out across our company and also less issues to manage with users.

If you are looking for a cost effective way to manage your business, then Google Workspace is for your company. The amount of tools that we have for our team for the cost is the best option on the market. ON top of that it easily integrates in to what most employees are already used to with Google's products like GMAIL, Google Docs, and their other collaboration tools. Unless your company has already invested in an internal suite or you have certain compliance requirements, I can't think of many scenarios where it wouldn't work for large or small teams.

Using Google Workspace

20 - We use Google Workspace across our entire organization from customer support, developers, programmers, admin, and C level. Everyone uses different aspects of it and has their own unique setup. The biggest usage comes from file collaboration across all of the departments. I believe this is where we get the majority of our value and it helps us stay organized.
1 - The person that handles the support for our company is a highly technical person with knowledge of not just Google Workspace but th eins and outs of how our company utilizes it. They need to know about DNS, email authentication, user managements and utilization, what our company uses it for as well as be a very organized individual.

We rely on Google Workspace to manage our team both in the U.S. and internationally. It's very cost effective for us and offers a lot of features per user.

Evaluating Google Workspace and Competitors

We needed something that was reliable and with Google standing behind it we knew that we were in good hands. Because it's business critical, we needed to know hat we would always have access to it and so far we have been more than satisfied with that decision. We are able to expand or scale back if necessary which is a great way to control our costs.
I wouldn't change anything, we made a solid decision that everyone has been happy with.
