Overall Satisfaction with Google Workspace (formerly G Suite)

Google Workplace is the central hub for everything we do. Gmail, calendar, forms, docs, sheets, slides, so in essence it replaced Microsoft Office years ago. We like it due to the simplicity of sharing, the ease of use, and the lack of bloated features that never get used. The best thing about it is how many other companies we work with use it, making sharing and scheduling a breeze.
  • Sharing files. Nothing is as easy.
  • Making templates-you just save them that way.
  • Forms that integrate into Sheets for tracking data.
  • Forms should be a bigger play in the mix.
  • Ability to share files via Google Voice.
  • Google Meet integration is needed.
  • Docs
  • Slides
  • Forms
  • Sheets
  • Reduced costs of Microsoft Exchange that we were paying for monthly to the same price annually.
  • Allowed us to integrate with third party apps more easily at lower costs.
  • Eliminated the need for the IT guy.
  • Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)
From an ease of use standpoint, Google Workspace is far simpler and easier to use. It offers what we need where Office offers too much of each app/service adding complexity over convenience. Our prior use of Office and even some occasional use of 365 just as a backup is often far more time consuming, and less enjoyable, specifically when it comes to sharing documents.

Do you think Google Workspace delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Google Workspace's feature set?

Yes

Did Google Workspace live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Google Workspace go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Google Workspace again?

Yes

Google Workplace is well suited in a team environment and especially for remote teams. It is even good for the solopreneur. Where it isn't good is with companies that are still working in the old school way of doing things, who have not embraced the cloud approach to work.
