Overall Satisfaction with GoTo Connect

We've used GoTo Connect as our primary internal VoIP solution. The product filled the role of extension-to-extension and direct calls from outside of the organization, as well as handling voicemail and basic auto-attendant functionality.

Pros

  • Ease of use regarding designing new dial plans
  • Transition calls from audio device to mobile
  • Ease of onboarding new agents

Cons

  • In my experience, Reporting is very weak
  • Unified UI across all platforms
  • Offer further functionality for dial plans (IVR, more call-center features)
  • Cost savings on phone hardware (ability to use soft phone or mobile)
  • Strong learning curve for agents, especially receptionists
We had a pretty poor experience porting numbers over from our previous carrier. This process took months to complete. While our PM was responsive and helpful during this process, some inquiries took a longer time to get word back on from upstream within GoTo's various departments. Stronger advocacy for the customer when dealing with other service providers may have helped speed implementation up.
I've found the admin of the GoTo Connect platform overall very easy to work with, and experiences with unified services were limited, but stable and easy to use when required.

I cannot recommend GoTo Connect for even basic call-center functions, but as an experience for employees internally and staff that are remote, I found the product flexible, easy to use and stable.
