Overall Satisfaction with GoTo Meeting
We've used GoTo Meeting with several partner organizations as it's the platform they prefer. I've also had experience using it with my volunteer committee position with our town government, as it was the platform they selected early in the pandemic. The software allows us to meet when in-person meetings aren't practical, or in the case of the pandemic, allowed.
- Shows all attendees on one screen or allows stage
- Fairly seamless audio and video connection
- Option to record meetings
- Clunky compared to similar software, it doesn't seem to have as much finesse
- Less flexibility in setting up the screen and viewing all participants
- Some people have more trouble connecting audio and video on this platform than on other ones.
- It allowed us to keep meeting when in-person wasn't an option
- We were able to record meetings that needed to be recorded
- We could have committee meetings or events where attendees could be anonymous
- Webex Meetings, Zoom and Microsoft Teams
Our town selected GoTo Meetings and that's how I ended up using it so much, in monthly meetings with them. In all honesty, when the contract was due for renewal, they switched to Zoom, another platform I use in both my personal and professional settings. While I found GoTo Meetings worked and it was functional, I prefer the other platforms over it.
