Comparing the GoTo Line of Products with Microsoft Offerings.
Overall Satisfaction with GoTo Meeting
We use GoTo Meeting as an alternative to Microsoft Teams. We had many issues with stability when using Teams, and we wanted a backup that we could use when Teams wasn't working properly. This product addressed the problem of having no backup when we needed to do a video conference. We have set up most employees with this so they have an alternative when Teams fails during a meeting or new employee training.
Pros
- Product can handle a large number of video streams at once.
- GoTo Family of Products are easy to utilize without any training.
- Acts as a backup when you have important meetings and other software fails.
Cons
- Per user cost is high at 14.00 dollars a user.
- Some functions are missing unless you download addons and additions.
- The trial version should last longer to thoroughly test the product over many months and test call quality.
- Video quality was improved by about 20% for some users.
- Having a good backup was able to save several client meetings.
- The slideshow feature was able to help us win a client who was on the fence regarding service.
Many times, it seems like GoTo Meeting requires less bandwidth to run. We noticed with a few test machines that if you have over twenty video streams, this product could handle the load better than if we used Microsoft Teams and had many video streams.
