Use Cases and Deployment Scope

GoToMeeting is mainly used to conduct meetings between our company and our clients or partners. The whole organization uses GoToMeeting as it reduces time and provides efficiency for team members. In some cases, we also use it for interviews if the candidate is not in our region as that reduces travel costs for each party.

The mobile version still has some connectivity issues
for some users having to download the software first can be challenging
With the audio I would like to see a reduction of echos

Return on Investment

It reduces travel cost which helps the budget
It helps with productivity so more gets done which in returns means more profits
Communication improves so things don't get easily lost or left behind

Usability

It is fairly easy to access, schedule meetings and invite other participants to those meeting. You can use it with your calendar to get reminders of upcoming meetings. It also makes it easy to schedule webinars and have people register and they will get reminders as well emailed. Participants can share screens and have a live chat during the meeting and you can mute participants as well. GoToMeeting has many features that are easy to use for al kinds of meetings.

Support Rating

I have not had the need to use support for GoToMeeting so far. They do have a support page where you can search for answers first before contacting an agent. There are a variety of articles available to look over including how to get started with GoToMeeting in general. If the topics listed don't answer the issue, the user can ask the community in the forum or call support.

Alternatives Considered

Cisco Webex Calling and Zoom

GoToMeeting has some features that other conference software didn't offer. One would be the anonymous user list. When doing webinars, it is important to hide the participants due to privacy reasons. GoToMeeting is also very userfriendly and easier to navigate than other Softwares. You also don't need to install an Add-On for outlook to be able to integrate that. In terms of reliability, GoToMeeting works just as well as Webex and both offer encryption.

Likelihood to Recommend

GoToMeeting is great when you want to collaborate with several team members across the country or even the world. You can talk, video conference and share screens to get an update on projects and other tasks. It makes it easy to connect by just using a link to join. With sharing a screen you can visually see what is going on rather than just talking about it on the phone. It is also great for training sessions. For small businesses with one location and all employees at that location, you will use it less for those reasons but still can use to meet with clients.
