Overall Satisfaction with GoToMeeting
We use GoToMeeting for larger meetings or executive meetings and also any meetings that require the screen sharing session to be recorded. Only a few users have access to launch it, but multiple people actually use it.
- Solid product - Things just work and the features are there.
- Professional look and feel.
- Allows for recording of all aspects of the meeting.
- Complex interface for the regular user.
- The "Questions" section on the Organizer view does not expand, so you can't see all of the questions and it is difficult to see who they are from.
- Panelists only have chat view, but not access to the question and answer. I would expect to see a permission level below Organizer that would have access to the questions being asked and thought the panelists should, but they do not.
- The cost is high enough that we can't issue this to employees for their own individual accounts.
- The recordings are simple and mp4 formatted, which means we just download and upload to our intranet for general access. It saves time on editing or reformatting. However, we still have to go through the editing process if the meeting was started early and has too much irrelevant/chatter/silence before the actual meeting.
UberConference is more simple and easier to join, but GoToMeeting is definitely more professional than UberConference and has more features and is the better-designed product.
