Overall Satisfaction with GoToWebinar
We use it to conduct webinars for prospects and current customers. These webinars include thought leadership panels as well as product education and training sessions.
Pros
- Integrates with our marketing automation, which lets us run seamless campaigns.
- Control panel is easy to use, which makes running and setting up a session less of a chore.
- Recording and saving options are also easy to use and it does not require a special decoder (like WebEx does) to leverage.
Cons
- Like all of these services, connectivity and stability can be shaky. Any of the services that can possibly provide a better experience vis a vis connectivity will gather more marketshare.
- Develop a way to set expectations based on individual bandwidth: "This session may be spotty. We recommend that you shut off other applications during the session".
As I've mentioned, the GoToWebinar integration with Act-On is much better, and that saves us time and effort. In addition, WebEx has a proprietary encoder that makes it difficult to download, edit and transcribe sessions especially when you use a Mac OS.
