Overall Satisfaction with Greenhouse

We use Greenhouse as an applicant tracking system. We also integrate Greenhouse with other systems through delivered and non delivered integrations. An example of a delivered intergration would be SHL. When the candidate completes the SHL test, the candidate SHL score will automatically be saved on the candidate profile. On the other hand, an example of a non delivered integration would be Workday, where we integrate candidate data from Greenhouse to create their profile on Workday when they are marked as hired.
  • Simple to use of end user
  • Easy to maintain by administrator
  • Many delivered integrations
  • Greenhouse Security is simple, but not that granular. For example, everytime new recruiter joins, we have to give them access manually one by one. There is no one click or an easy way to auto assign security unlike other systems that we use such as Workday.
  • Greenhouse reporting is very lacking. Even though we are on the highest tier, we cannot extract data through this delivered feature. For example, scorecard custom questions. We have to do this through SQL.
  • Greenhouse Audit Log is also lacking. It is not useful at all. We cannot even see what job info changed and who changed it even though we are on the highest tier now.
  • Easy for hiring managers to know how many candidates are in the pipeline/stage
  • Has harvest api for data dump and extraction through SQL server. Info from GH is loaded to our database.
  • Decrease recruiter time to manually track
  • Delivered GDPR compliant features help save time in deleting candidates.
We just upgraded GH to the highest tier, before we upgrade I would give it a 6 or 7, but after the upgrade, the highest tier features are very lack luster and needs big improvements. GH does well in applicant tracking, but there are more to it and should be improved alongside the growth and needs of the company. GH 4-5 year ago is fine as is, but it needs more improvements especially in the area that I mentioned.
Zendesk and Greenhouse are different system so it is difficult to compare. However, if I have to compare I want to compare the interface. Compared to ZD, ZD frequently update itself but GH seems like it does not. Greenhouse interface looks old and boring. Needs big improvements to match the modern vibe.

For me, since we just subscribed to the highest tier, it makes me even feel that Greenhouse is not yet the best applicant tracking system in my opinion. There are many lacking features such as reporting, security, and audit logs. But, Greenhouse does really when in terms of delivered integrations with other systems such as SHL, Teams Interview, Zooms, etc. and applicant tracking.
