Overall Satisfaction with Greenhouse

I've worked in startups where I have been first on the ground in Talent Acquisition and implement processes from the start. Thus I am the decisionmaker on the recruiting tools chosen to manage our hiring process and Greenhouse is always my go to. We use Greenhouse to set up our interview plans for each role, to assign interviewers for each interview, to assign interview questions, to manage candidates throughout the interview lifecycle, to communicate with candidates, and to connect to our careers website to allow applications and connect easily to LinkedIn and other job advertising.

  • Manages efficient and timely candidate, hiring manager, and interviewer communication
  • Integrates with other tools needed in the hiring process such as sourcing tools and onboarding systems
  • Provides analytics and reporting to allow for data insights and process improvements
  • Provides an Onboarding feature that makes the hiring cycle seamless from first interview to hire date
  • Often said that Greenhouse's user interface isn't as sleek or simple as other ATS's
  • Some of the clickthroughs could be minimized for some tasks
  • Incorporating a sourcing tool rather than having to purchase one outside the system and integrating it would be beneficial
  • Decreased time to hire

Greenhouse has rich functionality, I just think the interface could be simpler for new users.
Greenhouse has mastered the ATS tool and continuously improves features based on soliciting feedback from their customers. They do a great job at listening and adjusting based on the growing needs of their customers in the talent management space.

Greenhouse has been beneficial to streamline our interview process as well as onboarding of new hires with it's rich functionality around candidate management and correspondence, interview plan customizations, feedback loop management and data insights/ reporting capabilities. Greenhouse is also easy to roll out to our company, users have had no issues adopting and using the tool for interviews, referrals, and submitting written feedback. One area that would be beneficial to see in the future is a way to incorporate the entire prospecting cycle into the tool i.e. a sourcing functionality that currently is handled by purchasing a tool through another vendor.
