Overall Satisfaction with Guru

We have a software with a lot of features. With that, comes a lot of use cases and configurations that we need to keep track of. Everyone had their own personal version of an internal knowledge base, like the Notes app or a Google Doc. Guru allows us to share all of that knowledge effectively, especially for things that we don't necessarily want to publish for customers. We can add cards and edit cards really easily and then it's there for everyone to use and see. We also keep internal process docs in Guru which are easier to find and keep track of than Google Docs.

Pros

  • Easily add and edit knowledge.
  • Search for a card and find the answer.
  • Integrate with Zendesk for auto updated resources.

Cons

  • WYSIWYG editor on cards.
  • More native integrations for auto refreshed resources.
  • Allow for cards to have no verifcation.
  • Our internal users are able to capture knowledge in one place (instead of individual knowledge bases).
Usability is great. Really user friendly so there is very little internal training required. The main point you have to get across to your teams is just to use it, and stop using google docs and notes apps.

Do you think Guru delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Guru's feature set?

Yes

Did Guru live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Guru go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Guru again?

Yes

Guru is awesome for an internal knowledge base. The permissions are great and it's easy to add cards through Slack or from Chrome. It's also easy to edit and collaborate on cards which is helpful for our company size. It doesn't fit our needs for external facing education.
