Overall Satisfaction with Gusto
Payroll for a small nonprofit organization that would make booking doable in-house at an affordable rate.
Pros
- simple reporting and user interface
- providing chat access to customer support
- easy to follow reporting
Cons
- sharing of customer service notes
- more orientation materials like short videos included in onboarding
- check in call periodically once onboarded, similar to sales calls after showing interest
- save time on running payroll w/ auto pay
- save time on reporting
- save money with benefits more suited to our needs versus the pricey superservice that we had prior
Gusto is more approachable with a less corporate, more personalized feel. When we started, it was helpful for Paychex to be a one-stop shop where they offered a ton of add on services we hadn't thought of but found useful. Now that we are better able to navigate our needs, Gusto makes a ton more sense and offers the affordability. Paychex was also a revolving door of dedicated contacts but didn't feel much more accessible than reaching out to Gusto and reaching knowledgable folks reasonably quickly.
