Overall Satisfaction with Heap

The whole organization can be using it, but I'm pretty sure just part of the data team and product team use it regularly.

I'm working with product and it gives us insight into where drop-off is happening and where we're getting lift so we have numbers to back up the things we're building and planning to build. It really helps to get momentum behind the areas that will have the biggest impact to the business.
  • If I want to track a new event, I can set it up and they already have data for that event, no waiting.
  • Many ways to slice and dice data to get the insights I need.
  • It doesn't require developer time to set up each event.
  • There's a bit of a learning curve; it's not hard when you get the hang of it but we've had lower adoption among the company because of it, which is a shame because it's a great tool.
  • It may just be the permissions I have, but it's hard to clean up events that I defined poorly when I was learning to set up events in the first place.
  • Gave us information to increase conversion rates.
Once you jump in and play around with it a bit, it's fairly user-friendly. Heap University trainings were very helpful, and it's also helpful to have someone that you can pose questions to. While a bit intimidating at first for someone who is fairly new to it, I've been finding it easier and easier to use now that I've been in Heap for a few months.
I haven't run into many issues with performance. Here and there, there'll be a report that loads slowly, but overall, it's been within a reasonable timeframe.
Honestly I haven't used many other analytics products – I was in Google Analytics and Firebase a bit, which worked alright, but Heap is a more intuitive platform in my opinion. Same great data in a way that's faster to access and easier to consume.

Do you think Heap delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Heap's feature set?

Yes

Did Heap live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Heap go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Heap again?

Yes

Heap is great for tracking insights about how users interact with the product, and finding quick answers to questions. Oftentimes we'll be discussing an issue and wondering about a specific conversion rate or usage metric, and we can set up the Heap event and dashboard and have the information already. No waiting for a developer to set up the event or waiting or information to come in.
