Overall Satisfaction with HireVue

Our organization uses HireVue for all staff hiring across the company. We use the platform for all of our candidate first round interviews as well as for multi-person live interviews at the second stage of our candidate evaluation process. As a global company, this platform is great in that canddiates can record interviews on their own schedule and hiring managers can watch the interviews at their convenience within the time zones of their normal work day.

Pros

  • Aggregates videos of all first-round interviews so hiring managers can watch the interviews at their convenience
  • Interview questions are segmented so hiring managers can see how each candidate responded to a particular question without having to watch each interview all the way through.
  • The online inteview creates a bias-free platform for interviewing candidates as each candidate has exactly the same interviewing experience.

Cons

  • There are often delays in the multi-person interview experience so people are cutting each other off
  • The video of the multi-person interview is often distorted and hard to review becuase the experience is recorded with a delay and with people talking over each other.
  • If hiring for multiple positions, sometimes I find it hard to locate my open vacancies in the admin list of vacancies.
  • Decreased time spent by hiring managers in the selection process
  • Cost savings in not having to fly in candidates for in-person interviews
  • Shows our company as tech-forward and leveraging technology for our internal business processes
It works better because of tracking multiple candidates at the same time and recording responses by each interview question.
I works well for all of my hiring scenarios.

    Thanks for reviewing HireVue! We appreciate it and take your feedback seriously. I looked at the connection issues you mentioned. We realize that technology isn't always perfect and we apologize for the inconvenience. The best fix for dropped interviews and poor video quality is to have a stable web connection by plugging in with an Ethernet cable. Delay is a product of an unstable web connection on one or both parties and we have some admin tools on our side that can help diagnose the bottleneck as well. If you are having trouble finding your open positions, we recommend archiving old positions or naming the positions something that you can easily remember or search by.
