Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our team utilizes Hootsuite so we can stay organized with our social media scheduling. It is often challenging to post in real time. Hootsuite offers a fantastic way to cut down on the time required in posting to social media compared to posting in real time. It's very easy for us to schedule posts on multiple networks including LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter.

Alternatives Considered

Have used a few other platforms over the years. Back in 2013-2014 I used one called Butterfly which I don't think is available anymore. This was much harder to use, however there were more features. I have also played around with TweetDeck before. Our team uses Facebook to schedule directly in the platform. I've never been 100% impressed or satisfied by a program. My favorite so far is Hootsuite.

Support Rating

I do not recall using customer service. I typically Google my issue and usually I can find it through Hootsuite's FAQs or another third party website that has the answer. Honestly, Hootsuite is so straight forward I rarely have any issues come up and can resolve them on my own.

The core function of Hootsuite for my team is scheduling social media curations to be posted. It is a reliable network so posts will go through. Other platforms I have tried have not been as easy to use and I've always come back to Hootsuite. Unless the social media platform itself has [a] scheduler, we default to Hootsuite. I do have some issues with the platform when it comes to scheduling, which may be because of what social media sites allow third party users to do. One major issue is that you cannot schedule a video to be posted on LinkedIn. You also cannot tag accounts in the post on either LinkedIn or Instagram. Tagging accounts is important for engagement and further reach.
