Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It is our applicant tracking system. Primarily used by HR, but hiring managers are able to add notes and manage candidates. iCIMS works or integrates with our HIRS system and ServiceNow so it allowed administrative processes to be automated.

Pros and Cons

System integrations with other platforms/software are great.
Data and analytics options are great.
Love the customized dashboard
The ability to add outside agencies to job reqs is seamless.
iCARE support team are amazing!
Plenty of customization to suit the end-user's needs

The layout of the "People" tab needs work. I would like to see more candidates at one time without having to go to another page.
The Ignite feature would be much more helpful if I could view the notes of each candidate in the column data.
It would be nice if we could set up a default requisition view. Such as setting primary tabs and moving the infrequent tabs to "more".
The req profile card could be a little smaller - takes up a third of the screen.
The all activities section on the job req profile card is kind of useless - you have to keep selecting "load more" just to see one more activity.

Return on Investment

The ability to integrate with other platforms has saved so much time and improved compliance and tracking.

Support Rating

The support is second to none!! They have a super responsive and accommodating team of professionals and technicians.

Usability

iCIMS is not really intuitive. Reporting or creating reports and making admin changes can be complex. Customizing the dashboard is way harder or more time-consuming than necessary. Hiring managers (those who do not use iCIMS regularly) struggle to figure out where to go and what to do.

Likelihood to Recommend

Of course I recommend iCIMS in my talent acquisition network! Once you become familiar with some of the complexities of the platform it's easy to do so many things.
Regular feedback I receive whenever I recommend iCIMS is that a) it's pricy and b) it's better for large talent acquisition teams and c) it's too robust for most recruiting teams. Too robust? Now who complains about that?! Sure it might be a heavy hitter when you are a team of one, but I think I can handle these big boxing gloves just fine. =)
