Estimating simplified and accurate.
Overall Satisfaction with InEight
We use it for Estimating.
Pros
- Preparing an estimated budget.
- Historical record/data.
- Benchmarking
- Comparison of estimates.
Cons
- Simplified interface with Excel or any other applications.
- Flexibility in making "User Designed" reporting.
- Global conversion of a unit of measure from English to Metric or vice versa.
- More transparent estimating data elements - good for review.
- There are many different ways to present the estimate - summaries, details, etc.
- Estimators that are beginners on the job may have a longer learning curve using the program.
Our business involves much-estimating work for projects, budget preparations, budget presentations, and benchmarking. The reporting capabilities are very good at standardizing the presentation of cost data, cost tables, etc. The dashboard communicating the estimate/budget makes it easy for management to analyze, compare, etc.
Both Sage Estimating and InEight programs have their unique capabilities. Sage Estimating is much more configured for use in detailed construction, the majority of which are for non-nuclear projects. InEight has so many more capabilities, especially in creating our own libraries of data, which are vital in creating an estimate. The ability to access historical data (pricing), is an outstanding feature of the program.
