Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Insightly to manage contact information and notes for contributors to our media. I have everyone categorized by location, tags, and status. I mark people with tags that determine if they are a current contributor, past contributor, or removed contributor. I use the notes section to mark the dates of when their posts and contributions were made. I like being able to filter people by their tag and export contact info for that selected group.

Sometimes we get confused between tags and organizations - does there need to be both?
Sometimes slow and cumbersome between tabs on a contact's profile

Desired Outcomes using Insightly

Keep contacts organized and it does that job great

Alternatives Considered

Evernote, Dropbox and Dropbox for Business

They all have their own purposes but work well together for workflow management and keeping track of contributors. I also use the contacts app on my iPhone and computer.

Likelihood to Recommend

[It's] not well suited for uploading documents even though that's a function, I prefer to use Dropbox.com
