Overall Satisfaction with Insightly

Insightly is used to track quotes and orders for our client's projects. The business problem is the level of detail involved with each project and keeping up with frequent changes and deadlines. Insightly allows us to keep all the information in a specific Opportunity/Project to serve our customers better and faster.


  • Provides a platform to organize project information
  • The platform shows the organizations and people involved with a project as well as notes and emails; however, this area needs to reinstall a feature from the Classic Version that has been removed.
  • Makes it easy for multiple employees to see what is happening with a project without long meetings or conversations.


  • Please add the box back in to Files that allows for easily removing multiple files. This feature was in the Classic version and has been removed. In the current version removing un-needed files is a very chunky monkey process and a primary reason I no longer recommend Insightly to others in my industry. Png's such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram used by many in my industry as part of an email signature are saved as separate files along with quotes and documents I frequently need to open. It is extremely irritating to scroll through many of these Png files to find the one I want to open.
  • I rate the instructional videos a C. They seldom cover my question and I find rooting around to solve my problem better than using the customer service help or Zendesk options.
  • The information on Mailchimp Integration is very poor and I want to use Mailchimp Marketing.
  • Insightly has helped me stay on top of the details of an Opportunity or Project
  • It has saved time in keeping information organized
It is awkward to toggle between emails and their attachments which are saved as Files. Especially since the Png's mentioned earlier are saved as files.
Insightly is the only CRM I have used. I will be investigating HubSpot.

It is not well suited to finding a specific File in an Opportunity or Project. The Leads feature is not helpful for my industry in that it requires a person's name & organization. Leads in my industry start with the announcement of a project in the industry trade newsletters without the name of the organization or people that I need to contact. Also, the image of a Contact has been reduced to a size that makes it not helpful.

Using Insightly

1 - Insightly is used to store all information regarding contacts, leads, opportunities, projects and schedule Events and Tasks. It provides reminders to follow up on quotes and to reach out to customers for presentations. In the future it will be used to create reports on leads and opportunities as well as increased marketing functions.
1 - Insightly requires a very detailed oriented person who can navigate multiple tabs and is diligent about entering data on contacts, leads, opportunities, projects and events. Additionally, users should pay careful attentions to storing emails in their correct opportunity or project in the order in which they are received. Staff using Insightly should be able to focus on one task and complete that task before beginning a new one.

Insightly has made some changes that make it tedious and time consuming to use. These changes indicate that they do not have a good grasp on the real world of selling. The Videos on how to create reports do not give good or detailed information about how tp create reports. Additionally, the search feature does not always work properly.

Insightly Support

The staff is helpful and typically knowledgeable; however, several issues I have had could have been resolved quicker if they could login and watch the problem. For example, there are several contacts that have been entered, but will only open if they are accessed through the Organization. This is difficult to show using screen shots.
