Overall Satisfaction with Intercom

We use Intercom as our main customer support, help center, and marketing tool.

Pros

  • Creating chatbots to help resolve customer support questions
  • Single platform for marketing to leads and customers
  • Creating a help center

Cons

  • Adding users to email lists when using the Segment integration can be difficult to set up
  • Easier way to promote work between test and production environments
  • Better feature parity between the web and mobile Intercom messengers
  • Having Intercom do marketing and customer support while being able to use the same customer data has reduced tool sprawl
  • Increased customer satisfaction by being able to provide live customer support through the messenger
The UI/UX is easy to understand and navigate.
We integrate it with data sent from Segment
We choose Intercom because Intercom has all the same features as Customer.io but with the ability to do customer support and provide a help center to our users.

Intercom is great for when you need an all-in-one tool to market to your users as well as provided customer support and help center functionality. I think Intercom still isn't ready to replace transactional notification systems.
