Overall Satisfaction with InVision Freehand

We use it primarily to align with the team on features/projects, as well as to plan the projects themselves/create timelines. A lot of group collaborations and discussions happen the InVision Freehand. Also use it for team retros, team discussions, and for sharing out pieces of research. Using InVision Freehand gives us the ability to collaborate in real-time and see what is happening with the document all at once vs having to send it around or only have one person creating the documents.
  • collaboration
  • user interface
  • nothing unique about it
  • can be confusing for new users
  • those unfamiliar with invision are hesitant to try it for some reason
  • Collaboration
  • Ease of use
  • Availability
  • Faster turnaround
  • Better group alignment
  • Clear visions
Feels better and more intuitive than Miro, however, FigJam would be my ultimate go-to just because Figma is the software that I am most familiar with. Figma has design, prototyping, and now the collaboration feature, so if I was deciding on the software for collaboration I would choose that because we already have it implemented. However, since we do use InVision Freehand currently for collaboration I do enjoy it, it's pretty straightforward, and the interface is clear. Love the following feature where you can follow other users on the board.

- Design planning/discussions: reviewing a project/feature that a team will be working on and laying out research/scope/timelines - Team retros: being able to add things on your own and review as a team all at once is very beneficial - Ideating: a great place to just throw down sticky notes of ideas for different things, card-sorting, etc.

I am not in charge of the decision making on renewal or not, but my personal opinion would be to use FigJam instead as Figma is a software that we already have implemented and are familiar with. Invision would be my second choice on that topic.
