Overall Satisfaction with isolved

We use isolved to provide third-party payroll and benefits services to a wide range of temp agencies with wildly different setups and requirements. Some of our clients have a handful of employees, and some have thousands. Sometimes we only manage a company's temps, but we also often handle their managers and executives. And isolved can support all of it.

Pros

  • Automatically calculating benefit deductions.
  • Setting up and managing enrollments.
  • Running payroll for vastly different employee groups.

Cons

  • Enrollment Management is poorly optimized and takes forever to load.
  • Some isolved reports function in mysterious ways.
  • Functionality requests can take a long time to be implemented.
  • Saves a ton of time with third-party integrations like Bullhorn.
  • Human error is significantly reduced due to the quality of isolved as a tool, with premium calculation benefits being a major factor.
  • Employees are pleased to work with isolved as a system.
isolved typically resolves cases within 5-7 days, but it can take weeks to reach a resolution. Ideas and requests for new functionality can take years to be implemented, even when they are quite popular among users. It would be nice if they could at least provide more frequent updates on the status of those requests.

Yes

I have not yet run into a scenario that isolved is not appropriate. There have been a few specific functionalities that isolved couldn't accommodate, such as paid PTO plans. If employees frequently switch between different legal companies with different EINs, isolved really isn't built to handle that, and we've had to come up with creative solutions.
