Overall Satisfaction with Iterable
Iterable help us to - Create, manage, preview and deploy marketing campaigns - Target accurately users whom we want to send messages (email, SMS, etc.) - Easily create audiences and sync user data from our Customer Data Platform - Compose messages using data created by our own applications, like a Catalog of products and keep them sync without much effort - Send some transactional emails.
- Replicate user data from a Customer Data Platform.
- Query for specific user attributes for targeting.
- Building flows for campaigns.
- Monitor sent emails per recipient. We had to build something using their API.
- Sending transactional emails could be a good use case to centralize everything.
- Flutter support for push notifications.
- Cost is important, also renewal notice.
- Setup time is also important.
- Unifying marketing tools was a big win.
Iterable's platform affected me in: - Email: Unify campaigns sent from tools like Hubspot, our own systems, and marketing team email accounts - SMS: I had to build a custom solution for it using a local provider due to costs (we lost some of the trackings but it wasn't complicated to integrate) - Push and in-app notification: I had to build some code to support Flutter.
We are currently using it across all of our customer's journeys, even for transactional use cases; the first impact is having into one single platform all communications sent to a single user; this improves our visibility and helps us understand the more effective ways to reach our users.
It was a difficult choice at the time; both platforms provide a friendly user interface, tools to easily create your campaigns (flow-like tools), and SDKs and integrations with platforms like Twilio. We finally chose Iterable for its Catalog feature to "upload" data to their systems to be used in messages and also for its easy integration with Twilio's Segment.
