Great ESP for small to medium business - Best support ever!
Overall Satisfaction with Iterable
At Comparis, we migrated off our legacy ESP over to Iterable a year and a half back. The three main goals that Iteable helped us achieve were:
- It allowed our marketers to gain full control of their emails.
- It allowed Comparis to deliver personalization at scale.
- Have great sparing partners at Iterable to bounce our ideas with.
Pros
- The best support that I have ever encountered with any product that I consumed in the past.
- Takes customer feedback very seriously and acts upon them.
- Fantastic deliverability team who helps us stay on track with our reputation
Cons
- Iterable has some 3rd party partners over which they do not have a lot of control of (e.g. Drag & Drop interface). If consumers have issues with these, its very hard to get traction in the corresponding 3rd parties prioritization process.
- Iterable user profile data fields are as good as written in stone. If you create a data field by mistake, there's no way, as of now, to delete it. This ends up with a lot of junk data in user profiles.
- The process to build emails reduced from a 2-3 days to a few hours.
- Allowed us to do A/B test at scale
- Reduced cost as we no longer need HTML builders
- Freed up Tech resources who who were responsible for a wide range of hard-coded transactional emails.
At Comparis, we have only consumed the Email functionalities. Here are a few takeaways:
- Iterable offers numerous possibilities of automation - We often use workflows / journeys in Iterable to facilitate this.
- It offers reusable codes (snippets) that is super helpful for headers, footers and anything that works across multiple emails.
- Send Time Optimization allowed us to deliver the emails to our customers when they are most likely to interact with it.
- It allowed us to take personalization to the next level, whereby we not only personalize simply based on user name and gender, but also the entire content of the email leveraging datafeeds.
We haven't yet leveraged Iterable's cross channel capabilities fully yet. We use our CDP to achieve the same. For instance, we integrated Iterable with CDP which is also integrated with Facebook and Google Ads, that facilitate our cross channel marketing initiatives.
