Overall Satisfaction with Iterable

I use Iterable to launch email blast campaigns for multiple automotive dealerships and engage customers with the use of Journeys. Journeys help us automate aspects of customer engagement that would otherwise require significantly more attention. Journeys also allow us to find new ways to engage customers that may have required too many resources without them.
  • Creating dynamic customer lists
  • Providing an easy to understand automations platform
  • Providing an easy to use email template experience
  • Building snippets can be difficult for those inexperienced with HTML
  • The new template experience doesn't show the snippets in the preview
  • Can't get heatmap analytics on snippets with multiple buttons
  • Positive impact on customer retention
  • Positive impact on time to scale
  • Negative impact on agility
The automation platform has helped us automate the customer re-engagement process by allowing us to send out messages at specific intervals after the customer has purchased. For this, we have used the email and SMS functionality with customer journeys. It has also given us the ability to easily segment our customer base with the dynamic building tool.
The segmentation tool within Iterable ensures that we are able to contact the right customers at the right time. The customer profiles are able to break down customer data in a way that is very specific to our business and industry, as well as track customer events in a way that helps us contact them at the right time.
I've used Mailchimp for projects that were significantly smaller in scale, so it's difficult to compare the two. I've also heard that Mailchimp has improved quite a bit since I've used it. However, in my current experience that is one area where Iterable is better is the ability to customize customer traits and events to a specific business or industry.

Do you think Iterable delivers good value for the price?

Are you happy with Iterable's feature set?

Did Iterable live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Iterable go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Iterable again?

For a large business with multiple senders, Iterable is incredibly well suited for drafting and sending email blasts. Iterable is also well suited to any business that has regular customer engagement intervals, like factory recommended maintenance. Iterable can be used to implement Journeys that consistently follow up with customers at the appropriate time.

Iterable would be less appropriate for a smaller business with less specific reasons to follow up with customers aside from new products or promotions.
