It's helped our campaigns specifically for email in the automation side of things. We use it to trigger abandoned carts and send them a flow of emails that has helped us convert these customers.
In regards of what we've used it for the most, which is the Abandon Cart email trigger, it definitely has helped us contacting users through the deepest point of the marketing funnel, this ultimately has led to more customers buying from the company.

Iterable is well suited for creating and managing drips/triggers for email campaigns. With this comes reporting, which could have some key areas of improvement, but still gives pretty good and obviously the basic insights.

Iterable is also well suited to use for mobile app integration for marketing efforts and tracking.
