Overall Satisfaction with Iterable
We use Iterable for omni-channel marketing communications in a B2C SaaS. We are not quite finished with the setting up process and the team that works with the platform is very small, but there are still about 100k emails sent on a monthly basis. It's quite convenient to use the platform for all channels of communication, not just email.
Pros
- AI suite
- CS support
- User segmentation
Cons
- Template builder
- Setup process instructions
- Reporting
- Increase in user engagement
- Agility
- Faster adaptation to changes
It's a lot easier to roll out campaigns on multiple channels now than it was before we introduced Iterable to our stack. That being said, you will still need to deal with setting up quite a few technical things and will need your product and data teams to be involved. There is a certain level of independent work available for marketers due to extensive documentation library though.
Managing cross-channel comms in Iterable has made it easier to build a flow that can quickly adapt to the stage of user's lifecycle. Based on custom properties and events users are segmented into lists that then help create journeys to send customers to. The journey builder itself also provides a lot of flexibility to adapt the journey according to the changes in users data
- Intercom
Intercom is not created for marketing purposes and it is quite transparent when you get around to building a campaign with it. It's clunky and often quite frustrating to work with. While Iterable is not perfect, it's a tremendous upgrade. Iterable allows you to have more control ver the campaigns and an ability to see the results of your work on a more granular level
