Overall Satisfaction with Join.me
I needed a product that I could remote other computers while they are on site and I am not. They connect a laptop cable to a router and I can view it to find configuration problems.
Pros
- Easy to use.
- Very user friendly.
- You can tell even the novice user what to do and they can get connected with no grief at all.
Cons
- Shorten the connection time. That may be due to bandwidth issues but at times it takes a while to connect.
- Make it easier to connect with a single sign on between already established connections. Mac address to Mac address maybe??
- It has had a positive effect because it reduced the cost of travel.
- Also had a positive effect because we can get the end users to connect the hardware and not hire vendors to sit around and wait to connect and unconnect the equipment.
- DameWare and TeamViewer
I have used Join.me, DameWare and TeamViewer. Join.me has the least amount of hassle in regards to quick setup. Dameware often times fails and has to be installed manually. TeamViewer drops the connection often and requires you to start the whole process again.
